Biography
Natalie grew up in Spartanburg, South Carolina and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance Performance and Choreography and Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina in 2022. While living in South Carolina, Natalie danced professionally with Yuhas & Dancers and Moving Body Dance Company, also serving as Productions Coordinator for Yuhas & Dancers.
After moving to New York in 2022, Natalie created ERELONG to house her choreographic works. Inspired by dance theatre and contemporary floorwork techniques, ERELONG is experimental and boldly expressive. ERELONG has participated in 20+ performances in NYC and beyond, including Edinburgh Fringe, unKEMpT by rogue wave, Dance Bloc NYC at Dixon Place, and 7MPR’s Midnight Performances. Visit ERELONG's website to learn more.
Currently based in Brooklyn, Natalie is dancing with Chutzpah Dance and crystalandthomas (an interdisciplinary collective) and is continuing to create work with ERELONG. She has also done projects with STEME DANCE NYC, mmmChoreo (Matty Mahoski) and Laura Ardner Choreography, and is a co-founder of the improvisation group 5$Movement. In her dancing and choreography, Natalie compliments circular patterns with gestural precision. By connecting external aesthetics to internal sensations, Natalie creates work that is refreshing for performers and spectators alike.
